Hotel Poseidon Playa - Benidorm

Part of the Hoteles Poseidon Group of hotels, the 3 star rated Hotel Poseidon Playa is situated around 60 metres from the Playa Poniente beach, in the popular resort of Benidorm on the south coast of Spain.

The hotel is approximately 65km east of the Alicante International airport, and a few steps from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1969 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2015, the modern Hotel Poseidon Playa has a total of 306 guest rooms, including 276 standard twin rooms and a further 30 singles, which are built over 17 floors and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces, around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, cosmetic mirror and hair dryer, along with a satellite television, direct dial telephone, refrigerator, safety deposit box available for rental, and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the sea.

In addition to the above features, all rooms are also provided with a maid service, undertaking a daily change of towels, and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with a games room, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services, and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel Poseidon Playa also offers the use of a large air conditioned conference and meeting room, with the capacity to seat a maximum of 60 people, which is fully equipped with a selection of modern audio visual aids including both overhead and slide projectors.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with a separate pool for children, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes a children's playground and mini club, and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel Poseidon Playa also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring petanque, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco, which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.

In recognition of the Hoteles Poseidon Group commitment towards the environment, the Hotel Poseidon Playa has been awarded the internationally renowned certification of ISO 14001:2004 certification awarded for the achievement of the highest standards in environmental management procedures, as well as the Qualitur Distinction awarded by the Valencian Agency of Tourism which is only granted to establishments which meet the highest standards of continuous improvement in all services.
