The 2 star Hotel Melina is situated around 300 metres from the Playa Poniente beach, in popular resort of Benidorm on the south coast of Spain. The hotel is approximately 65km east of the Alicante International airport, and a few steps from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops. Built in 1971 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2003, the modern low rise Hotel Melina has a total of 134 guest rooms, including 133 standard twin rooms and 1 Junior Suite, which are built over 5 floors and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and a sun terraces, overlooking a central pool area. All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and magnifying mirror, along with a satellite television, direct dial telephone, and safety deposit box available for rental, and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, all rooms are provided with a maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen once a week. Guest facilities on offer includes a reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services, and both lounge and pool bars. Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with integrated children's splash pool and Jacuzzi, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with sun loungers and parasols.
