Hotel Sol Pelicanos Ocas - Benidorm

Part of the prestigious Sol Melia Group of hotels, the 3 star rated Hotel Sol Pelicanos Ocas is located around 300 meters from the Playa Levante Beach and 150 metres from the nearest bus stop, in the popular resort of Benidorm on the south coast of Spain.

The hotel is approximately 65km east of the Alicante International airport, and a short walk from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1970 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2002, the modern Hotel Sol Pelicanos Ocas has a total of 794 guest rooms, including 709 standard twin rooms and a further 85 singles, which are built over 14 floors and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces, around a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower and cosmetic mirror, along with a satellite television, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box and mini fridge available for rental, and either a balcony or terrace, many of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area.

In addition to the above features, all rooms are provided with a daily maid service, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with a games room, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, public internet terminals, laundry and medical services, and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes 2 large outdoor freshwater swimming pools for adults, along with 2 further children splash pools and a lagoon style pool with whirlpool, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols.

Other leisure facilities includes a children's playground and mini club, and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel Sol Pelicanos Ocas also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment, with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.

During the summer months, the Hotel Sol Pelicanos Ocas is especially popular with families travelling with young children, and during this time, alongside the numerous adult activities, the resident Sol Animation team also provide themed children's clubs that are inspired by the legends of Katmandu, with the Club 4 being suitable for 1 to 4 years, Club 8 for 5 to 8 year olds, Club 13 for 9 to 13 years and the Teen Club from 14 to 17 years. Guests are advised that some activities will carry a supplementary charge payable locally.
