Hotel Poseidon - Benidorm

Part of the Hoteles Poseidon Group of hotels, the 3 star Hotel Poseidon is situated around 350 metres from the Playa Levante beach, in the popular resort of Benidorm on the south coast of Spain.

The hotel is approximately 65km east of the Alicante International airport, and a short walk from the commercial centre of the resort, where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1990 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2005, the modern Hotel Poseidon has a total of 466 guest rooms, offering a choice of both standard twin and single rooms, along with a further selection of family suites, all of which are distributed between 2 six storey buildings, and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces overlooking a large central pool area.

All guest rooms at the hotel are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season, and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, cosmetic mirror and hairdryer, along with a satellite television, direct dial telephone, mini fridge, safety deposit box available for rental, and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area.

In addition to the above features, all rooms are provided with a maid service, undertaking a daily change of towels and change of bed linen once a week.

Guest facilities on offer includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, and both luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, along with a games room, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, public internet terminals with complimentary high speed WiFi access available in selected areas, laundry and medical services, and both lounge and pool bars.

For business guests, the Hotel Poseidon also offers the use of 2 large air conditioned conference and meeting rooms, with the capacity to seat a maximum of 120 people, both of which are fully equipped with a selection of modern audio visual aids including both overhead and slide projectors.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with sun loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes a children's mini club, and both pool and table tennis tables.

Guests staying at the Hotel Poseidon also have the opportunity to relax and unwind at the hotels' own Health & Fitness Centre, which features a further indoor swimming pool with hydraulic seat, mini-gym and Jacuzzi, as well as offering a variety of other massage treatments.

The Hotel Poseidon also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring petanque, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco, which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.

In recognition of the Hoteles Poseidon Group commitment towards the environment, the Hotel Poseidon has been awarded the internationally renowned certification of ISO 14001:2004 certification awarded for the achievement of the highest standards in environmental management procedures, as well as the Qualitur Distinction awarded by the Valencian Agency of Tourism which is only granted to establishments which meet the highest standards of continuous improvement in all services.
